Balmoral resident Kim Hill has been named the Wollondilly Woman of the Year.

The 43 year old was one of the standouts after the devastation of the Green Wattle Creek Fire.

She established and led the Balmoral Village Recovery Hub and also raised $200,000 for a memorial playground to remember Andrew O’Dwyer and Geoffrey Keaton who lost their lives in the fire.

Ms. Hill says the recovery effort is still ongoing.
