In light of Brain Awareness Week from March 15, primary school students are able to win prizes for not only themselves, but for their schools too. The week is a global campaign to increase public awareness of brain research. There is a competition underway, run by the Australian’s Research Council’s Centre of Excellence for Integrative Brain Function, where primary students are asked to learn about the brain through art. Taking into consideration the theme ‘My brain helps me to’, students will need to create a piece of artwork on an A4 size paper using either pens, pencils, crayons, textas or paint.
