New restrictions, travel bans as Sydney COVID cases jump | The Land

Those who live or work within the seven Sydney COVID hotspot local government areas will not be allowed to travel beyond metro Sydney as the city moves into tighter restrictions from 4pm today following another 23 cases recorded in the past 24 hours.

Meantime, WA and SA have declared a hard border against all NSW residents, excluding a 100km buffer zone between NSW and SA.

NT says it will force anyone from the Greater Sydney area into mandatory quarantine.

The seven LGAs limited to metro Sydney travel are:

  • City of Sydney
  • Waverley
  • Woollahra
  • Bayside
  • Canada Bay
  • Inner West
  • Randwick

Residents in Sydney, Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Shellharbour regions can not have any more than five visitors to a household, including children, from 4pm today until…
