NSW records 124 new COVID-19 cases, the biggest increase since outbreak began

New South Wales has recorded its highest daily increase in COVID-19 cases since the outbreak began in mid-June.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian on Thursday confirmed 124 new locally acquired cases had been recorded in the 24-hours to 8pm on Wednesday, up from 110 the previous day, from more than 85,000 tests.

“Unfortunately, case numbers have gone up again,” she told reporters.
