Some maintenance work was spotted on the stretch of railway line between Numurkah and Katunga on September 9.
The line runs from Melbourne to Griffith via Seymour, Shepparton and Tocumwal.
Plenty of work has been happening along the line, particularly around the Murchison Railway Station.
The line is used heavily by commercial trains, particularly grain.
