An Angus top price of $50,000, Shorthorn sires making $24,000 twice and a Shorthorn cow being knocked down for $20,000 were the features of an outstanding bull sale for Gerald and Lynden Spry of Wagga Wagga on Tuesday. The top priced Angus bull, Sprys-W Overdrive Q5733, a 21-month old son of GAR Drive, was purchased by the Bull Oak Well Angus, Pinnaroo, South Australia. Stud principal Heath Nickolls said their new sire came highly recommended by Gerald Spry and they were not disappointed after they had made the 700km trip to see him. “He is a complete outcross for us,” Mr Nickolls said. “He has eye appeal and great productive…
