WA reintroduces hard border with NSW amid Sydney’s COVID outbreak

Western Australia has reintroduced its hard border with New South Wales amid Sydney’s concerning COVID outbreak.

The state government released a statement at 11.18am (WST) on Wednesday, saying the border was already in effect and had been since 11am.

“Following updated advice from the WA Chief Health Officer this morning, NSW will transition from a ‘very low risk’ with a quarantine and test regime to ‘medium risk’ under WA’s controlled interstate border regime,” the statement…
